Specialist Services

From Equipment Assessment
to Repairs and Commissioning

Industrial equipment needs often extend beyond spare parts. Assessing condition, defining repair requirements and coordinating the work are all part of preparing equipment for continued operation.

PETROVEX coordinates specialist services for oil, gas, refining and petrochemical applications, based on the equipment type, reported issue and site conditions.

Understand the Issue Before Defining the Solution

Reduced performance, equipment faults and shutdowns can require different types of assessment. Operating history, previous repairs, reported symptoms and technical documentation provide the starting point for determining the appropriate review.

For each enquiry, we first review the available information and establish whether a site visit or further assessment is needed. We then define the service scope, execution arrangements, specialist expertise required and each party’s responsibilities.

Planning and Execution

A Defined Scope and a Documented Process

Before work begins, the following execution requirements are reviewed and agreed with the client’s team:

Scope & Responsibilities

  • Equipment type, reported issue and service objectives
  • Reference documents and assessment or acceptance criteria
  • Responsibilities for supplying parts, tools and equipment

Schedule & Site Readiness

  • Work location and required facilities
  • Schedule and equipment downtime constraints

Safety & Handover

  • Safety requirements, work permits and coordination with the operator
  • Reporting and handover arrangements

If additional requirements emerge during assessment or execution, changes to the scope and their cost and schedule implications are coordinated with the client before the affected work proceeds.

Deliverables

Documented Work and a Clear Record of Equipment Condition

Depending on the service and agreed scope, deliverables may include:

  • A condition assessment report and technical findings
  • A record of work performed
  • A list of components repaired or replaced
  • Results of agreed checks and tests
  • Outstanding items and recommended follow-up actions
  • A service handover record

Required documentation and handover criteria are defined for each order before execution.

We assess the information and coordinate a site visit or further review where necessary.

  3. Agree the Scope and Execution Terms

We define the required services, responsibilities, cost, schedule and handover criteria.

  4. Coordinate the Work and Report the Results

We follow up on services within the agreed scope and provide the client with findings, documentation and any items requiring further action.

Further Support for Your Equipment Requirements

Tell Us About Your Equipment and Service Requirements

To get started, send the equipment type, manufacturer and model, location and a description of the issue. A nameplate photograph, relevant photos or video, maintenance records and available technical documents can support the initial review.

If the equipment is out of service or the work must take place within a specific window, include its current status and the required timeframe in your enquiry.
